I'd like to access recent documents about my ruptured brain aneurysm that I just had a month ago. I'd like to view the CT scans, any reports, microbiology, everything! I'd also love to view the documents of surgeries I've had over 10 years ago. How can i do this online?
I'd like to view everything on my EMR :)
I skipped health insurance last year, which was offered through my employer because I didn't feel comfortable with so much money coming out of my paycheck. luckily I got free insurance from the state through covid relief last year. my problem is, I signed up for insurance this year and it is being taken out of my pay. mine is 180 a month just for me, which I know is low compared to others. but the problem is I DONT USE IT. I have no medical conditions, only get a physical and pap smear once a year. on one hand, I am HAPPY that I don't need it/us it. yay for being healthy. on the other hand, why pay 180 a month for something you don't use. are there less expensive emergency private type of plans...i would feel fine paying 20 dollars a month for something I literally don't use(of course I know it is too late to cancel for this year). i feel like I am paying high to contribute to a health fund that others in my company do use. i like to help others, but this is forced. if anyone could assist me in this.. thank you.
My insurance (Aetna Indemity plan) charges unreasonable amounts for doctors visits. Two months ago, I had a physical check-up done with blood work, my insurance billed me for $900+. My dad and sister have gone to the doctors a couple of times too (not for a physical, for other things) and all together, we owe the insurance over 8K. I’ve called them to inquire about why are they covering little to nothing, they said a representative would call me back within the next few days to discuss the matter. This was at the end of December - a rep called my mom a few days later since that was the # listed, she said she was specifically looking for me since I was the one that made the phone call to inquire about the bills. I tried calling her back several times, but it goes to voicemail, I keep leaving voicemails with no phone calls returned.
Aethna is disgusting and charges their clients absurd amounts, way higher than what they should be, then when you try calling them, they avoid your phone calls. It’s pretty ridiculous.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?
Not too hot to the point where it burns it’s tongue but like room temperature coffee?
I am considering flying with two young kids and not sure if there is a higher risk of getting sick or a lower risk of getting sick. I'm not specifically concerned about covid but more other airborne illnesses like influenza. With all the precautions currently in place during this pandemic does this make the chances higher or lower of getting sick while traveling through airports? Any information or recent studies would be greatly appreciated.
