My insurance (Aetna Indemity plan) charges unreasonable amounts for doctors visits. Two months ago, I had a physical check-up done with blood work, my insurance billed me for $900+. My dad and sister have gone to the doctors a couple of times too (not for a physical, for other things) and all together, we owe the insurance over 8K. I’ve called them to inquire about why are they covering little to nothing, they said a representative would call me back within the next few days to discuss the matter. This was at the end of December - a rep called my mom a few days later since that was the # listed, she said she was specifically looking for me since I was the one that made the phone call to inquire about the bills. I tried calling her back several times, but it goes to voicemail, I keep leaving voicemails with no phone calls returned.
Aethna is disgusting and charges their clients absurd amounts, way higher than what they should be, then when you try calling them, they avoid your phone calls. It’s pretty ridiculous.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?
