Foundation recommendations?
I’ve been using the Ilia Super Serum Skin tint for most of the past year, and there is a lot I like about it, but I’m looking for something less dewy. I have oily skin and for special occasions I’d like something a little more matte, that also looks satin-y. I’ve been using the Alima Pure setting powder (I always set my whole face, not just specific areas) but I’m open for recommendations on that as well! Wanting to stay with clean ingredients.
I haven’t tried many clean foundations - the only other one is the Kosas tinted face oil and I wasn’t really a fan.

People with sensitive skin, do you have any recommendations for bar soaps?
I have pretty sensitive skin and have struggled with this all my life. When I was younger I strictly used Dove and Jergens bar soap (as recommended by my doctor and dermatologist) - I would breakout in a rash whenever I used scented products, bath soaps, or body wash.
As I got older my skin became a little less sensitive, but I pretty much stuck to the same products/routine. I would alternate between the two soap brands whenever I wanted to mix things up a bit, but it has become increasingly difficult to find Jergens soap in my local shops. I now use a variety of Dove bar soaps: original, unscented, cool cucumber and sensitive. However, lately I feel like it hasn't been getting the job done.
I am looking for a natural (and preferably inexpensive) alternative to my Dove soaps that are sensitive skin friendly and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry.
Also is there anything you would recommend for scarring? I recently had a breakout due to using the wrong product and now I have small bumps and scars in certain areas of my body.

Natural deodorant- put liquor vs ziryabs body brew
Hey! I’m really new to the natural deodorant scene and somehow ziryabs body brew literally works better than any antiperspirant I’ve tried! I wanted to branch out more and try different options- has anyone ever used pit liquor? The idea seems fun and I like the advertising, but does it actually work? Thanks!
Crystal doedorant
I have bought a roll on deodorant from a company called Crystal. It works really well at eliminating odors but it has one problem. When I first used it, there was a strange smell coming from it. It has a foul smell that really annoys me whenever I put it on. Is it normal for it to smell that way since most of the ingredients are made minerals and salts.
Deodorant that doesn't funk up your pitts
I've never really had a BO problem, moreso just sweat, but have found that any aluminum-, paraben-, "fragrance"-free deodorants I've tried have given me major odor issues. I've heard a lot of people say that you have to give your body time to get used to it, which I have, and it hasn't.
Recommendations? I'm not super concerned with sweat prevention, as I'm a pretty sweaty person to begin with, so can't do much about that, but would love a product that doesn't make me smell like a bag of rotten onions.

My opinion on different all natural deodorants that I have tried (and it’s been a lot). For people who sweat a lot!
So, I have very sensitive armpits as well as a slight aluminum allergy, so I’ve been using all natural deodorant for years now.
I have always been a sweaty girl and also we had a heatwave here that lasted over 2 months with temps over 110 F+ every day. It’s always been hard for me to find a deodorant that will last even all day, much less than one that stays good for two days.
The only one that has truly stood up to the test was by Meow. People complain about getting the tube because it is small and relatively expensive $14 USD. However, you can get the jar that is a lot larger for the same amount. There are two scents that have no baking powder (lavender and grapefruit, I believe) and one with baking powder that is tea tree scented. I’ve always been fine with the two without baking powder as my armpits have always been very sensitive to tea tree and baking powder, but if you have tougher pits - I highly recommend the one with baking powder. This is the only deodorant that has lasted a lot of exercise or working hours in the heat.
The second best one I’ve used is The Healthy Deodorant brand, but the Luxe (sports) line. I used this heavily in college before Meow when I was going through dance and Pilates training. It works great and lasts about two days. MAKE SURE IT IS LUXE; I tried the “regular line” and.. it pretty much needed to be changed later in the day.
The third best I’ve tried is the Toms all natural Probiotic deodorant. This one lasted awhile, but recently, after going through about half the stick, I seem to be sweating through it less than the 48 hours I used to be able to go. I don’t know if it’s me or the deodorant itself, but it does go a full day. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t dry clear. It has a white cast.
Here is a list of the ones I’ve tried that were awful.
-
Type:A in peppermint - It does not hold up to regular sweat, let alone stress sweat. I could put this on right after showering and smell my armpits within two hours afterwards.
-
Native in Coconut & Vanilla - Lasted maybe half of a day but has a lot of white cast.
-
Lavanilla (The Healthy Deodorant) in Vanilla - this is the one that I thought was luxe and wasn’t. It lasted about 3/4 of the day, but clumped up and had white cast. Didn’t hold up with heavy sweat. USE LUXE VERSION - IT DOES WORK!
-
T’eo (by Lush) - This made my armpits break out in a huge painful rash due to how harsh the tea tree is. I’ve heard it also needs to be reapplied throughout the day.
-
The Guv’ner (Lush) - Also harsh on my armpits, very gritty feeling, and you need to reapply.
-
Herbal clear sport (recommended at a farmers market type store) - Did not hold up well at all, but does go on without a white cast.
-
Dr. Teals Magnesium + Shea Butter - It works for maybe a day.

Foundation recommendations for extremely dry skin
I've tried so many ranging from creams, liquids and powders and all leave my skin texture looking so much worse than without it. If it weren't for my splotchy red face, I would go without as my skin texture is so much nicer before applying foundation. I exfoliate and moisturize before applying foundation, but my skin still looks flaky and parched immediately after application. Any suggestions?

Hyram Skincare videos (question)
So I know he blew up from TikTok however is he credited? (Has any certifications or anything) my family follows everything he says without second judgments. I guess he posted a video that DIY or natural masks are like worthless bec we don’t know how the aloe Vera was grown (water pH levels I guess or other chemicals?) I don’t know. I didn’t watch the video. It’s just that I’m Indian and natural masks is something I like to do 2x a year for 1 month or more often. When seasons change, my skin needs extra help or I get hormonal acne. My cousins always used to ask me for recipes and I found a new ingredient that also works wonders. I shared it with them and they said “Hyram said it’s not good or bad for you, (diy masks) it’s just a waste of money.” I’m not sure what this even means. My question is should I look at him like another person trying to do it for the fame/free goodies or someone who actually knows what he’s talking about. I saw a couple videos of his (it’s not like I avoid him or anything) but they were all sponsored and when he says “this is brought to you by...” it makes me wonder if whatever he said prior was true or half truths for endorsements?
It’s like a bandwagon movement going on right now so this isn’t hate or backlash or anything. I see lots of people recommending different skin care stuff like BHA’s or retinol or whatever lol

7 SKINCARE TIPS FOR BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY SKIN
Exfoliate
Gently exfoliate your skin to promote new skin growth. Peels, especially those containing coarse grains, can sometimes be aggressive to the skin. The use of abrasive exfoliants can lead to skin blemish and scarring.
Therefore, it is essential to use a gentle peeling on the skin and try to apply it once or twice a week. You can also use glycol buffers, which are inexpensive and available in pharmacies. It helps to clean your pores without being aggressive.
Even if you use a gentle exfoliator, too much exfoliation can cause breakouts and make your skin too dry.
It’s all about the sunscreen.
Sunscreen is a piece of beauty advice that everyone swears by, and dermatologists point out that it is. The daily use of sunscreen products can help protect your skin from the harmful impacts of sun exposure.
Sun damage is the first reason for aging, resulting in brown spots, uneven skin tone, and sun damage. Whether you are sitting at home, cold or cloudy, you must apply sunscreen with a sun protection factor of 30 or higher.

Manuka honey for acne?
Just wondering if Manuka honey masks everyday for 20-30 minutes + washing face at night with manuka honey is too much or overkill? Has anyone tried this/received side effects or any improvements to skin texture & clarity?
Please advice , much much thanks ! And happy weekend to you all <3
