I have been in a wheelchair for 14 years and a chronic pain patient for 10 didn’t start taking narcotics till 5 years ago took everything doctors could think of lower than narcotics till nothing worked any more
On a Thursday afternoon my oxycodone was just not cutting it for the pain I had as in. nothing was relieving the pain
I called my pain doctor and they could not fit me in until next Thursday and I couldn’t wait that long so I went to the ER bringing proof of my prescription and medical history or pain management
I waited for hours in pain to see the doctor and when I finally did they said the only thing they could offer me was 2 regular strength Tylenol
How could they give me Tylenol if my oxy wasn’t working ?why on earth did they think that something as simple as regular Tylenol would help ?
I also have never been to the ER for pain before
