As above, I had bought a plan through Obamacare however apparently there was an issue with the first payment (which no one told me) and I was promptly disenrolled from the plan on Jan 1 (they only told me last night via email, I saw it today and can’t speak to anyone as it is a holiday and the office is closed.)
So I guess my first question is do I have any recourse here or am I screwed for the year?
Second question: I had a specialist visit on Jan 2 thinking I was ensured. It was 5 mins of talking to the Dr, plus a urinalysis. I had been referred by my GP. Now that I know that wasn't covered, does anyone in the know have a guess as to how many thousands of dollars I will likely owe?
I live paycheck-to-paycheck in America so as you can imagine I am downward-spiraling quickly as I realize the layered implications of what was basically a glitch. Always feels like I'm one administrative mixup away from being better off 💀.
