I live in California and was born here as well.
I want to get copies of all my medical records, in particularly I want a copy of all the records prior to me becoming 18. I've done some research into this and I plan on going to the hospitals in my area and speaking to the medical records department, but I'm curious as to if my parents took me to a private practice at some point while I was still a minor. Will the hospitals be able to pull up all of my medical records or only the records of what I had done from that hospital? If they can only give me records of procedures that they've done to me, is there a way to do a general search of all my medical records? If my parents took me to a doctor with a private practice or a hospital outside of my area, how would I go about figuring out which doctor or hospital it was?
