"houshold income" vs "individual income"?

Trying to enroll for healthcare in NY state through the state governments marketplace web site (http://ift.tt/1SOlk5t) and for financial help, I'm getting asked household income, but not individual income. I'm 33, and my parents, whom I share a household with, are closing in on retirement age. I would think that their income shouldnt effect my financial support from the government concerning healthcare. Am I wrong, is that just how this works? Or should i just put my personal income in the hosuehold field? For the record, Im currently making hardly anything, (~$7,000/year) due to hopefully fixable health issues that I believe should be easily enough addressed with some prolonged physical therapy (MAYBE surgery). I think I should be able to do any regular physical labor/on my feet all day stuff afterwards, until then, i cant realistically handle a lot of unskilled labor.
