It feels like 1 giant scam. I went to the urgent care a few months ago because I had real bad digestive symptoms (I'll spare the details.) It turned out to be a campylobacter infection. The process of making that diagnosis was so, so unnecessary. I'm not gonna describe the whole visit, but they kept throwing tests at me left and right.
Lady doctor thought I had appendicitis solely because she rammed her fingers into my abdomen and it caused some mild discomfort and that caused her to dish out a cascade of tests which all came back to show nothing.
If a doctor orders a test out of concern and it comes back negative, the patient should not be responsible to pay for it.
2500 dollars for that pathetic visit which could have been done for a couple hundred bucks tops. Screw that place. I fought with insurance for a while and they got it down to 700 thankfully.
I hope that doctor gets scammed like I did one day.
