I apologize if this is in the wrong place.
So i just found out my mother (63y.o.) currently is without health insurance. My father passed away two years ago and since then my mother has been living without insurance. She works part time at a local Home Goods store. She told me she applied through healthcare.gov and was quoted at $600/month and cannot afford it.
I am going to dig into her financials this week so I do not have a lot of information there. She lives alone in a 1-bedroom apartment, car is payed off, some savings from my dads life insurance policies and is collecting his social security. She has no major health concerns but is just getting older. My plan currently is to re-apply, making sure she got everything filled in correctly, then we will go from there.
Any advice that y'all could give would greatly appreciated as we try to figure this out.
