Forgive me if I say this wrong but the medial posterior tibia muscle where you get shin splints. My pain is about 3 inches in length for the area affected and it’s sharp kind of underneath the bone. About 3” above the interior/medial ankle bone. I attempted the hop test and I felt pain on the jump but not the landing. Any idea of if this indicates one more than the other? I know the official advice would be consult a doctor but I’m supposed to leave for basic training in 3 weeks and can’t do that. Just curious to if intense stretching and muscle rubbing would be beneficial or hurtful. Thank you for your time.
