Hello!
Let me preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing about health insurance. I work for a company that has quality health insurance with a $3000 deductible, recently I was referred by my health insurance company to a psychologist which I saw today. Come to find out I got charged for the initial consultation With the psychiatrist for a grand total of $260. After this I spoke with her and said I was covered by my health insurance, so I’m not exactly sure why I have to pay this on my credit card despite it being “covered” by my health insurance. Do I have to file a claim or something or will I be reimbursed later on? Please explain it to me so I can try to understand it and not have to pay for future appointments, charging me four dollars each minute for the session.
