Hi there!
I'm a registered sleep technologist who's interested in possibly doing travel work for a few months to a year. (If I like it!)
People who have done travel healthcare work, how was your experience?
Right now im seeing positions paying up to $2500 a week. They have told me half of that is non-taxable. The recruiter said even though my hourly rate is less that techs make more because they find affordable housing and pocket the rest of the stipend. She said I stand to make a lot more money. I currently make about 65k a year right now after taxes.
I am curious to know if in reality you end up making more when you factor in lodging, food, etc. Though I am interested in the opportunity to travel my goal is to do it for up to a year, make extra money, and then put down on a house in Columbus, OH. So my main motivation is financial atm.
I would love to hear your experience. Thanks in advance!
