Hello, first time poster here! Let me know if my question should be on a different sub.
I recently graduated college, and my primary physician was through my university. He was also my prescriber for my antidepressants. Because I am no longer in the university's system, I am no longer able to continue seeing him. I want to find a new primary care doctor, however I am currently living in a state (Indiana) different than my home state (Missouri) for temp work. I will most likely be back in my home state once my seasonal position is over, but my plans aren't clear yet.
My question is, how do I go about finding healthcare in my current stage of life? Do I try to find someone licensed in my state, even though I won't be living here six months from now? Do I find someone licensed in my home state through my permanent address? If I do that, how will they be able to prescribe my medications while I'm out of state?
I feel like my situation is complicated, but I'm surely not the only one who has experienced it. Any advice is appreciated.
