Hello,
Im not sure if this is the right subreddit to post to but Im looking for some advice. My mother (65f) had a brain aneurysm late last year, in Canada and I've been struggling to find resources to find her some help and support.
She is a resident of Ontario and we do have PSWs come in for 1 hour a day for 3 days a week. Right now the bulk of the work lies with me, but unfortunately I work most days and cannot afford to be home with her more than I already am. I do have a sibling stating with hee to try his best and keep an eye on her, but he is currently suffering from chronic deprssion, and the meds he is currently on leave him in an almost zombie like state.
She seems physically okay, but her full strength hasn't come back and it seeks like she has delerium. She slips in and out of consciousness. Im looking for help finding out if i could get anymore support for her, whether it be resources for more care or even mental health resources because I get the feeling that the event has been so traumatic, she's now slipping into a depression.
I've been struggling to even figure out what I should be looking for in terms of support so if anyone can offer even the tinest amount of guidance, please help! Any advice is appreciated
