I am looking to apply for Medicaid for my in-laws. We were just going through the application and I was surprised to know that they dont even have a bank account (both of them are retired and are getting support from their kids to pay for their rent and food etc).
I told them that they should at least have a bank account to show eligibility for income requirements but I'm myself very confused. Is this going to be a problem for them?
P.S. I have been suggesting them to open an account and ask kids to transfer money to them there so there is actual paper trail for everything. Not sure if I'm just causing more trouble but my family NEVER used cash for anything so I'm a bit shocked by all this.
