It seems that my state (NY) has multiple choices for Medicaid coverage.
On my supplement, I have to make a choice on the type of coverage I'm applying for:
Choice #1 is for " Medicaid coverage but not coverage of community-based long-term care services.", Choice #2 is for " coverage of community-based long-term care services" and choice #3 is " You are institutionalized and applying for coverage of nursing home care".
I don't need anything like adult day health care, senior assisted living but I'm wondering if Choice #1 will cover any emergencies, any stays in the hospital if I need a procedure done or if I'm hit by a car accident etc. Would appreciate any advice.
