Basically we had a health insurance this year and it's been TERRIBLE with very limited coverage near us.
So we're getting my work one now and these are the options.
We're still learning how to navigate health plans, we've never really done this before. I got sick with GI issues and we desperately needed health coverage and the one we got was terrible.
I want to make sure that whatever plan we pick, will help us get the help we need.
We need basic PCP service as well as specialist services like a GI and maybe a woman's clinic for my wife.
I'm not sure what the differences are between HDHP,HMO, and (A) are
It LOOKS like HMO would be best for us because a PCP visit is $35 but then I'm worried because the cost is too cheap.
Yet the (A) open access os $140 monthly but a PCP visit is slightly more expensive.
What am I missing here? How do I choose the right one??
Edit:
Just realized those prices were just for me. Here are the updated prices for me and my wife:
HDHP: $288/month
HMO: $400/ month
(A) Open Access: $640/month
