Question for pharmacists

Hello, so I have a question for the pharmacists on this page. I got diagnosed with ADHD when I was 11, I’ve been medicated for over a decade. As I’m sure you’re aware, there is a current shortage of ADHD meds. I know this is not y’all’s fault at all, and I’m sure it is annoying to have a bunch of people upset about their medications.

But my friends with ADHD in real life, some people on the ADHD page on Reddit, and myself have all experienced recently pharmacists acting weird towards us. Personally, I feel like they look at me like I’m a criminal drug addict and it’s apparent they don’t want to talk to me. I understand that this does not represent all pharmacists, but the fact my friends and numerous people on Reddit feel the same way does show that a good percentage of pharmacists that may harbor some sort of animosity towards people who are medicated for ADHD.

My questions is why do you think this is? Do you think it’s because some college students (without ADHD) buy adderal for their final exams? Are you worried we’ll sell it? Do you think we don’t actually need the medication? Do you dislike that people take that medication at all? I’m just trying to understand where y’all are coming from.
