I need some options.
My wife and I have medical insurance but it has a high deductible. Last year we more then meet our deductible, because they don't cover investigative tests. Because of this we had to take out a loan to pay our medical bills.
Now the doctor wants to run some tests on me. He thinks I have Barrett's esophagus. Again insurance won't cover the tests.
The local hospital will not work with us because we "earn" enough. I can't take out another loan, the bank won't lend us anymore. I called my insurance and they had no recommendations.
What are my options? Does anyone know of any programs that help people in my situation? Do I just have to suck it up and enjoy the time I have left? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
