I just got a denial letter from United and they are saying "this determination is based on information found in your plan documents under the following sections: Section 2 Exclusions and Limitations:
M. Procedures and Treatments
- Breast reduction surgery except as coverage is required by the Women's Health and Cancer Rights Act of 1998 of which benefits are described under Reproductive Procedures in Sections 1: Covered Health Care Services. "
Is this the end of the road? Is my policy crap and is it even worth appealing? I feel like I'm going to die with these things on my chest and I don't know what to do. The doctor I met with said I was a good candidate but if my insurance wont cover the surgery then I don't know what to do.
