About 6 months ago I got a PCR test at a local clinic in NYC. I was in and out in a matter of minutes.
I was just reviewing the explanation of benefits that was sent in the mail, and it's shocking. Is this normal? Am I oblivious of the real costs here?
Fortunately my insurance with Aetna through work is really great, so I don't have to pay a dime out of pocket. But I just can't imagine why the insurance company would pay this much to the provider. So I'm curious to hear from anyone who has knowledge on this subject.
