Hey everyone,
So recently, a neoplasm was found on my pancreas. The procedure I’m doing to remove it is big, meaning that there’s a 25% chance the whole organ needs to be removed during this surgery (<<<- verbatim what the doctor who diagnosed this said to me).
I’m looking into doctors now, and thanks to my insurance I have the choice between an Ivy League doctor or a well reputable doctor in the area. The Ivy League doctor doesn’t have as many lauded reviews (which maybe attributed to the fact that most ppl in the area can’t afford to go to her). Her hospital had the most advanced and up to date tech as well. The reputable doctor is no. 2 on medifind in my area (again, cld be attributed to the fact that he’s in a more accessible health network). In addition, stalked his Facebook and he lives and breathes pancreatic conditions.
I’m torn, am I missing anything? Are there ways for me to verify their individual reputability without being skewed? (Ps, can’t tell if online reviews are fake or not.)
