I went to urgent care today for a late period and weird stomach issues. They ran a pee & blood test (just for pregnancy) which was negative for pregnancy and infections, and then a physician came to speak to me. She literally looked like I was bothering her the whole time, and all she asked was to explain my symptoms (which included feeling constipated), how my diet was and then referred me to an obgyn. As someone who rarely goes to the doctor(due to no health insurance in the past and not really having a reason to go) it’s so difficult for me to pinpoint symptoms and explain them clearly, and it doesn’t help when the doctor you’re seeing stares daggers at you and asks you only two questions to diagnose your issue. Even more annoying is I’m probably going to get hit with a $100+ bill just for this visit cause my employer’s deductible is so freaking high 🤦🏾♀️. I was $20 away from hitting the deductible last year for visits from August - November(where another urgent care physician asked me 2 questions and gave me a hand brace that made my wrist tendinitis even worse smh) and now that’s all reset and I have to meet the deductible again 🙃. Its just so messed up to have people waiting forever just for the doctor to ask you two questions, tell you bye and you still have to pay so much for it smh.
