I have a health insurance policy through Blue Cross. It expires in May. I'll need to buy my own policy unless I find a job by then who will provide insurance. (I'm in the US.)
In the past year I've had a lot of medical bills, and a few very expensive ones. One of the claims was for $80,000.
My question is this: when I try to find a new health insurance policy in May, will insurance companies be able to look back at my claims for this year and base the price of the policy on my 2022 claims?
BTW, I make too much money to qualify for Obamacare.
