I need to find a doctor who will replace my knee (22) or amputate my leg (Canada)
There is a whole history here but long story short I’ve had 2 knee surgeries and can basically no longer walk or function or work The doctors refuse to give me surgery to do TKR because they see no structural damage but I’m at the point where I’d be better off with a prosthesis or figuring out a way to get a knee replacement.
I joined the military at 16 and am 23 now and at the point where if I don’t do one or the other I will end up taking my own life soon. I’ve been battling for 3 years now and I cannot go on much longer. Something needs to be done & I’m willing to go to the extent of self amputation if the doctor does not listen to me on my next appointment.
1) What would be the “safest” way to self amputate my leg? 2) next appt I’m going to let him know if he refuses to do A or B I will KMS or self amputate to his face - he has been there with me and see it progressively get worse so I am praying he listens and potentially offers TKR - but they said I am not a candidate so I will do whatever it takes at this point. - how do I get seen by a private dr who will do this if he does not agree ? Or is that not an option
(I am bringing family to vouch for me on all of this as I’ve fully disclosed everything to family and doctors and they’re still f***ing me around) I cannot take this much longer and am the point where I feel I have nothing to lose.
I am mentally stable(still in military waiting for medical release) and you have 0 idea how much I have suffered the past 3 years I am in agonizing pain and cannot function at all .. It’s gotten to the point where I do this or I cannot go on any longer.
Please help me - if you do not give beneficial information I will ignore you or delete your comment - you have 0 idea of the situation I’m in.
