Do college student need to pay for healthcare, or is it provided by the government/college?

I’ve been having difficulties finding an answer online, as all my search results are generated for international students instead of US residents (im in the UK). Do you guys get healthcare for free when you are a student or do you continue to rely on your family’s healthcare plan? what if someone does not have one, be it they’re older or an orphan?
