[Question - Other]

Not sure if right place to ask, please redirect me if I am in the wrong place. I am in the US and currently going through the process of a name change and I have to mail my ID to social security. I have been needing to see a doctor, but do they require ID? Should I see a doctor first before mailing my stuff out? Is there any doctors that don’t require it and would I still be able to get prescriptions? :(
