[Discussion] How can we advocate for ourselves and others?

I’m concerned about how much of healthcare is just about the money and greed. Imagine living in a world where we can get whatever we need, whenever we need it, without worrying about how much insurance will cover. Some people can’t afford to go to a simple checkup. Now I can’t say I have it figured out- I think it’s a complex issue, because our population only keeps growing- and I think of places like Canada where you can be on a waiting list for ages to get a medical procedure done. People go to the U.S. just to avoid the wait lists. And the world probably doesn’t have enough people who are nurses, doctors, etc to keep up with the demand. But HOW can someone like me- a young girl living on the east coast- help create a world where resources like affordable healthy meals and healthcare are available to EVERYONE? hope this makes sense. my heart hurts.
