Title says it all. This is in lieu of a friend of mine who lives in Texas and was recently diagnosed with Stage I endometrial cancer. She had to have emergency surgery on parts of her uterus/tubes due to severe pain, bleeding, and complications. This all happened about 2 weeks ago, so this is very new for her and been a rollercoaster of emotions...
Her health insurance isn't taken at MD Anderson in Houston, TX and out of pocket expenses will total around $20k+ for her. She's looked at other insurance policies but they all end up being absolute crap.
We heard about folks visiting other countries for health care purposes and so, hence this post.
If anyone knows of possible costs for seeking cancer treatment in Iceland, or any European countries for that matter, please let us know!!
I'm new to posting here so hopefully I didn't break any rules.
