I have health insurance through my employer, where they cover 100% of my monthly premium. Adding my self-employed wife to this insurance plan (Kaiser Gold HMO) would result in us paying $575 per month out of pocket. Looking at the healthcare exchange for the exact same plan, enrolling just my wife would only be $475 per month.
Are there any reasons for me to not stay on my employer sponsored plan and enroll my wife separately through the healthcare exchange?
