So I've been without insurance for a few years now, but I have had medical issues I've been addressing. These vary from physical to psychological health, as well as dental health. In other words, any insurance I get I'll be using immediately and will continue to use it.
But I just started work at a new job that doesn't pay amazingly, and their plans are not cheap and have high deductibles. I don't fully understand how deductibles work, but it seems like if I want to do anything more than check ups, they're not gonna help me until I've paid thousands out of my own pocket.
Can anyone help me understand it better and tell me if I'm better off looking for other insurance on the market?
