[Question - insurance] Must I register by state?

Hello, I am a 25 year old who is about to lose insurance coverage through my mother on 12/31/2019. I am currently doing the research to get myself coverage but quickly ran into an issue. I travel for months at a time for work (small business owner). I have an address in Florida as well as in Pennsylvania. My ID, license plate, etc. is all under Pennsylvania. I am not a student. I’m not sure which state to register under. It is my understanding that if I were to register as a PA resident, no docs in Florida would accept my coverage. There are plenty of other people in the country who have a similar life situation, I am sure. Any one have advice on this? I split my time nearly equally between the two states, but am often working in others as well! There’s a high chance I will not be in Pennsylvania during a time I need to see a doc.
