Im not sure if this is the right subreddit so if it's not let me know and I'll remove it.
So over there past 8 months I have had an internship with a software development company. I was paid hourly making a modest 15/hour. I am a dependent of my father. Recently my father started freaking out about how I was for sure going to lose my Medicare coverage because of this job and I was putting the family at risk of losing theirs too. I don't know how any of this works and trying to research it on my open just confused me even more.
He's saying the government is going to use the fact that I have money saved in my bank account as a reason to take it away. This internship is really important for my career after college so I don't want to give it up but I also don't want to lose my health care coverage.
Any advice for someone in my position?
