Company insurance and medicaid

I have two insurances. One is from my employer and the other one is medicaid. My question is do I need to provide 2 insurances when I go to a new doctor? Or I should be able to choose and provide them only one insurance?

Advice: Father needs full-time medical care. Parents don’t qualify for in-patient facility

Hey everyone, I need some health Care advice here as my father’s medical situation has really put my mother in a problematic situation.

My father was in a car accident in 2009 and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Other than the tbi, he has been generally healthy the last 15ish years. His condition has him wheelchair bound and unable to communicate, but generally can move around, make coffee, grab snacks, etc. he is borderline self sufficient and my mother has been able to work full time. They also benefit from his disability.

Two months ago he suffered a stroke. He went through in-patient rehab for 3 weeks. He still is unable to use his right arm and has lost significant strength in his right leg. This requires someone at the house with him at all times. My mother has not left.

Emotionally, my mother is drained. She fears that her job will eventually stop being so understanding (which they have been incredible so far). She has not left the house or had social interaction almost at all.

We looked into in-patient facilities, but essentially don’t qualify for anything. What are my options?

TLDR; father had a stroke and requires full time medical attention, but my family doesn’t qualify for any. What are my next steps?

The alternative to buying new snow boots for kids every year? Expandable shoes
Parents often lament having to get a new pair of winter boots for their kids every year as they grow out of their old ones. A group of Northwestern University students came up with a fix for that.

Healthcare worker survey

Hi healthcare/hospital staff!

If you got some time, please take a moment to answer some/ all the questions I got listed below for a case study I’m putting together. I need some survey responses. Love to hear thoughts from anyone just state your position and where you work!

  1. What was your personal motivation to work where you do/ to work in healthcare?

  2. What are the general HR (human resource) practices and policies at the place you work?

  3. How does your place of work keep you motivated to work for them? What incentives do they offer you?

  4. How is your company work culture? Do you feel included?

  5. How does your position affect how you work with other employees?

  6. What do you feel could be improved for your working experience? What could the company do better?

Thank you!

How would one suggest getting a part time position at a hospital (aspiring MHA)

Would love to pursue and MHA, but seems to be a lot to jump through applying to healthcare systems for part time roles that can gain experience or other wise

Advice: medical bill (uninsured)

I was hoping for advice/cost estimates for this specific scenario: family is visiting from a foreign country on a visitor visa. Fractured hip, had femora neck replacement surgery and a 3 day hospital stay. No insurance.

How much would this cost (I know it depends on the city and hospital, but just in general) without insurance, and what are ways to negotiate the price down to a reasonable amount given that there is no way they are able to pay the on paper price
