Can I be charged with abandonment or neglect?

I walked out of my job today at a cbrf in the middle of my shift. I kept asking for help with people that are 2 assist and people refused to help me. I notified my boss and walked out. There was other staff present that were there to take over my responsibilities. I got threatened with neglect or abandonment. Im terrified about this because I walked out because I was just so upset that no one would help me give the residents the care they need. Im scared and I need to hear others thoughts.
