MyChart geolocation for telehealth

I have a telehealth appointment for super early in the morning next week. The doctor is only licensed for a state next to mine, not my state. The appointment is through MyChart and the appointment page says it will verify that I'm in the correct state before starting the appointment. If I use a VPN to appear in that state, will it work? Or do I really need to get up super early and drive a half hour across state lines and park and do the appointment from my car? Has anyone used a VPN for telehealth through MyChart to appear to be in a certain state?
