We will be traveling out of the country for a week during the Fourth of July holiday. Our young adult sons will be in the US. Before leaving, we would like to have some kind of a document so if there one of them had a emergency that we would be able to contact the hospital to find out any information about their healthcare, condition, etc. From what I’ve heard once they become adults, you can no longer just call the hospital and find out what’s going on with your child due to the laws. is there something we can have notarized before we leave so that if it was an emergency situation we would have authority to find out their condition and to make healthcare decisions for them. I know that we could have a legal healthcare advocate drawn up, but this might take too long in our situation. Any replies are appreciated.
