Patient abandonment question

Hello, I am a CNA in Arkansas who left in the middle of my shift because I had no other help from the other CNAs at that point. I felt this was a safety hazard for me and my residents. I know that this was unethical, but my question is: is this illegal? (If you think it is patient abandonment, please post a source to the statute.) thank you.
