Is this legal?

So I’m scheduled to have breast reduction and my insurance approved the prior-auth. I got an estimate and there is a charge for around 84k for was is called “Hospital Case”. My friend had the same exact procedure at the same surgeon, but her insurance didn’t cover it. She was not charged for the hospital case, only for the “Professional Charges.” My estimate total comes to just over $103k and I’m just worried that they are trying to get insurance to pay way more than they should be.
