I need a specific birth control that my insurance does not cover. The reason being I cannot have combined birth control pills due to migraines, I can only have mini-pills. When I was on Slynd, everything was perfect, zero side effects. I got put on another mini pill because my insurance does not cover Slynd and I have awful side effects - constant spotting (been on this pill for 2 months) and extreme mood swings, which does not help since I am also treated for depression. I truly believe Slynd is my only way.
Can I go to my PCM who's a nurse with this matter, or does it need to be a doctor? My insurance is Tricare.
