I swear every American doctor I've met is either of the two when it comes to Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs). My insurance is with United and it is a Choice Plus WITH HRA. However, doctors and their faculty don't understand it and I'm leaning towards that they're just being malicious and wanting to make it difficult for the patient. Ideally a doctor would be a good Samaritan, helping the patient and going above and beyond, but it seems that they only do healthcare for the money. I hope those who are truly saints in their actions soon become the majority because this is getting ridiculous.
My question is: Can healthcare providers deny HRA? I was told that I needed to pay for my deductible first but it is conventional wisdom that HRA pays first before deductible. If they cannot deny HRA, I would love to sue every doctor that has delayed my treatment.
