When I had surgery from attempted homicide 5 years ago in Phoenix, the ambulance was a contracted ambulance from a company in TX, and it was strange just how much they billed the hospital considering A) I was unconscious and obviously couldn't consent to medical care, so how could I be billed for the ambulance And B) Why would a TX ambulance company operate in suburbs of Phoenix for assault or homicide calls?
I'm still confused about it.
