Couldn’t shadow anyone

Hello, I’m interested in healthcare like sonography, nursing, and dental hygiene. I’m currently going to be a freshmen in college and I was wondering if I could shadow people. Called some clinics and programs to see if they do that and turns out they don’t. It’s a liability/insurance thing or only for students. It makes sense yet I’m bummed out. I hear so many stories of students in high school having those programs to see medical fields yet my school never had one. I don’t think I can even do that anymore cause I’m already graduated. It seems the only way to see if I like being in the field is by studying for that career or actually working one part of it. Any way you guys can help?
