I am in US. After an anger episode, I was punching the wall really hard and I had terrible pain like super deep in my bones. After the episode, I was resentful of what I did and worried if I caused a broken bone or something like that causing this much deeper pain. I went to ER to have some X-rays done, it turned out nothing is broken and I was explaining the doc about the deeper pain then he kind of scolded me
What do you expect, you harm yourself, ofc it will happen, you are causing self harm etc.
Now, I am super worried that this ER visit will be denied by the insurance on the basis of self inflicting harm. Checked the policy details, searched these words, looked at the exclusion items in details, did not see any mention of self inflicting harm in the policy but like ER visit probably cost around at least 5k $ and I do not have this much money. Is it possible they deny coverage?
