Hello, My roommate is Autistic and has other undiagnosed learning disabilities, so I am usually the one to help with her insurance. She has been on Medicaid for the past year and a half until recently.
She moved to my house because her home situation was unhealthy. She wanted a clean split from her step dad and left without any warning for them. It's a sore subject and she's unwilling to talk to him again at the moment. In December, we try to refill her meds after she was in the mental hospital and they are rejected. I wanted her to check for about a month but it takes a lot to get her to do things. So i eventually get into her healthcare account and find that her coverage ended in Novemeber.
She's back on her Dad's plan and we didn't notice until this week. I am going to call the benefits office for help tommorow, but has anyone else had this happen before? Think we can get back on medicaid at all or is it a lost cause?
