Currently unemployed, ER bill for $5,000. Are charity applications still an option if my wife makes $70k a year?

I was wondering if applying for a charity program would still be an option. I owe ~5k to Amita health group in Chicago and currently have no way of paying them that money.

If there are any alternatives, please let me know.
