What type of healthcare coverage is best in your opinion?

I am a Federal employee and the insurance options are various and overwhelming. I have been on a High Deductible type plan for years with an HSA and I am getting older and feeling like I might need to suck it up and get a Primary physician. Honestly, I usually have bad experiences with doctors and dread going in but I know it's important to begin establishing a healthcare history with someone that "knows you". Or is this all that important? It seems like my Mom eventually did that but she needed help with her knees and ended up getting surgery to replace both. I am pretty healthy but when I have a concern that I see a doctor about, I often feel like I wasted my time and money. I guess I'm wondering if more expensive coverage would actually give me access to better doctors/offices? Anyone that has experience with this type of situation, I would be very thankful for your input! I would also love to hear what people think is the best quality coverage type since all the acronyms feel like another language when I try to read about my options. Thank you so much!!
