As someone with a chronic illness, I found Obamacare to be a major game changer, since I would have been denied coverage when shopping for health insurance.
However, now I’m selecting benefits at my job and hearing about all the amazing tax savings and employer matches one can get with an HSA, but of course that’s only an option with a high deductible plan.
Me however, with my medication that costs thousands/month, must select the expensive PPO plan, and there’s no HSA associated with that. And of course the premiums/deductible climb every year so you pay more for less coverage
Anyone else feel like this is discriminatory?
