I have been having an issue for over a month now, and the insurance company has now closed 3 tickets on me without a resolution. I have a twin brother that works a different job than me, and he gets UHC insurance from his employer. I get UMR from mine, which is a subsidiary of UHC. Somehow our accounts got linked a month ago, which caused both of our accounts to get locked out.
After being told 3 different times that tickets were created and escalated to the engineering departments, I was finally told today that both of us have given the wrong social security numbers to our HR departments, and need to call them to update it, followed by the UHC and UMR tickets being closed. This is untrue and we both confirmed with our respective jobs that they have the correct SSNs for UMR and UHC to pull.
When the offices open back up on Monday, we both plan to call our HR departments and asking them to call the member e-services line for UMR/UHC and see if they can straighten it out. Does anyone have any other suggestions I can do to force the insurance company to take action if our HR departments can't help? I'm not sure as to how they think the social security numbers were incorrect, all the way in November when we've been using the insurance just fine all year so far.
