Is there a place to see how much a procedure should actually cost?
My doctor ordered a flow cytometry test done by a lab. They charged $44, no big deal. Then they ran the test again and charged $1,094. I did some research online and saw prices ranging from $12 - $250, but never near this expensive. I called the Dr. and she said she only ordered one test and there would be no need for them to run a second one and she had no idea why the cost discrepancy.
